Rev. Prof. Lt Col. Setsoafia was an Army Officer for 20 years. He resigned voluntarily from the Ghana Armed Forces to engage in Pastoral works with the Assemblies of God, Ghana where he serves currently as a Senior Ordained Minister of a local church, called House of Integrity Assemblies of God.
He is also an educator and teaches at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Saltpond and Global University Graduate School of Theology, Springfield, Missouri, USA as adjunct faculty. He briefly taught in the Central University College as part-time lecturer. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D) and his Dissertation was "a Theoretical Framework for an Integrated Competency-Based Theological Education" (in the Assemblies of God, Ghana). He is currently a Professor of Education. He serves also as the District Secretary for the Dodowa District of the Assemblies of God Church.
Concerning Vinesthy Catering Institute, he serves as the Advisory Director of this unique and innovative vocational (catering) institute. He supports the Proprietress who doubles as the Principal of the Institute in myriads of activities and concerns. He advises on strategic planning, curriculum development and review, projects and organizational developments and recruitments in order to enable the Institute meet the required Competency-based technical vocational education and training(CB-TVET) and National Vocational Training Institute(NVTI) standards and requirements. His personal values include Integrity, passion for Excellence and Relational Intelligence
